LA CRETE AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE HAS JOINED FORCES WITH GREAT NORTHERN GRAINS & FORMED STRATEGIC ALLIANCE.

Great Northern Grain Terminals and the La Crete Chamber of Commerce are very excited to announce that as of November 17th, 2009, have entered into a strategic alliance and are now working together to strengthen our bond as neighbours, to help serve our communities better.

The program will help to meet the core needs of the community of La Crete, support the business development of GNG in Nampa and pay dividends back into our local economics here, in the Peace.

GNG has pledged a $2/net metric tonne rebate from their handling/elevation fees for every tonne of grain delivered to their elevator in Nampa from La Crete area farmers.  This funding will be donated back to the community and the people of La Crete will decide the best way to use these funds.  With up to 350,000 metric tonnes of grain, oilseeds and specialty crops produced in the general area annually, this has the potential to see hundreds of thousands of dollars a year pledged back to the La Crete Community fund.   BUT IT ALL DEPENDS ON YOU!

GNG nees your support to make this program work and farmers interested in participating in the program must first register at the Chamber of Commerce or at GNG in Nampa prior to delivering their grain.  Contact the Chamber of Commerce for more information.
