The La Crete Area Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary non-profit organization.

WHAT IS OUR GOAL?

We strive to improve the social, economic, cultural and civic aspects of the community. This means anything and everything that will make YOU happy to be in La Crete. We also strive to improve tourism in the community and attract people, from all over the world, to our area.

WHAT DOES THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE DO?

Whatever is neccessary to keep the local area's economic condition at a level where businesses will risk their resources in the locality in the hopes of making a profit. We also help individuals find employment that will suit their needs or help them in the right direction.

WHO GOVERNS THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE?

 The Camber of Commerce is guided by a volunteer board called the Board of Directors. They are the policy making body  that decides what the Chamber should do, and when. They give a a few hours of their time each month to provide guidence to the Chamber's staff. This is an elected body who are essentially the decision makers for the Chamber.

HOW DO YOU BECOME A DIRECTOR?

Directors are usually chosen because of their intrest in, and commitment to the Chamber of Commerce, their standing in the community, their experience and ability in civic affairs. Contact the Chamber if you are interested in becoming a director.

HOW CAN YOU BECOME INVOLVED?

The Chamber always needs volunteers. If you have a couple of hours to spare, come into our office to find out how you can help on a commitee, with an upcoming event or with a fundraising idea. Volunteers are recognized at our Annual General Meeting.
